Todo Magic™ allows you to create todos, lists, and projects to organize your thoughts, and your life.
The app is designed to make you as productive as possible whilst gently nudging you on via gamification to get things done. The app is a perfect blend between motivation, productivity, consistency, discipline, and prioritization.
You can build streaks by repeating todos. The app even allows for negative motivation, if you so choose.
The app is super easy and fun to use.
There is reporting and dashboards meaning you will always be on top of your game.
Completing something in Todo Magic will give you Magic Points™. For example, completing a todo will give you 5 Magic Points. For more detail on scores, see Magic Points.
The essence of productivity is commitment to time. Every important todo in Todo Magic should have a date since this is where much of the magic happens. Even if you're uncertain when you'll complete something, assign a date anyway. This simple act of stating your intention transforms a thought into a concrete commitment. Assigning dates to your todos is a key to success, turning dreams into deadlines and intentions into action.

The core concept of success in life and Todo Magic is prioritization. These are those todos that simply cannot disappear from the radar. It should be something achievable and something that you do not want to lose sight of.
These todos are highlighted in various parts of the app, so be efficient with what you prioriise. It's important to understand that typically you should only have a few priority todos in a project, to avoid feeling everything is important.
Some say the golden rule is to have only one priority todo in a project and only move on to the next one as soon as this one is complete. This is not a hard and fast rule but try to finish what you stared. By using Todo Magic, your insticts will grow and you'll be able to easily focus on priorities. With time, reaching strategic goals should greatly improve to the point where success is a part of daily life.
You'll also be aboe to see how well you are doing by looking at the productivity chart. If you are completing a lot of priority todos, your productivity is at maximum because you're focussing on the important and strategic items. On the productivity chart priorized items are marked as yellow, as in, a yellow marker.
Dreaming about reaching a goal without a deadline just doesn't make sense. It's fine to plan for tomorrow, or next year, or next year, but stretch goals take time. For that reason, Todo Magic has a number of date types to keep track of goals. Be sure to assign a deadline, even if you have to make it up, as much of the magic in todos is about stating your intention.
Here are the categories you can use to better organize your todos:
Todos are the building blocks of productivity in Todo Magic. Each todo represents a single, actionable item that you want to accomplish. Here are the actions you can take on todos:
How can you further organize you life? At the top of the organization hierarchy are projects, e.g. Life or Work. Projects are designed to separate your mental space into silos. For example, you don't want to see work-related items when you're looking at your movie watchlist. Here are examples of projects:
Lists are entirely optional but useful for ordering thoughts and filing things properly. You even get a small score when adding things to lists, but if you're in a rush or creative flow, just add a todo without bothering with a list.
What's cool about lists is that the app is designed to quickly and easily see and find items that belong to a list.
Parked list items are special and do not appear on the main todo screen by default. If you create a list called "park" in the current project, you need to switch on the filter to see them.
Parked is similar to "not now", "later", etc.
Parked lists are especially useful for:
Todo Magic provides several ways to find and filter your todos:
Local Search: Use the search bar in any list to quickly find specific todos by title or description.
Global Search: Use the global search (magnifying glass icon top right) to search across all your data including todos, lists, and projects.
Completed Status: By default only incomplete todos will show, but you can show all, or only completed todos.
Include Todo List(s): Select specific lists to include in your view.
Exclude List(s): Hide todos from specific lists.
Parked Items: Filter to show only parked todos, exclude them, or show both parked and unparked items.
At the heart of Todo Magic are Magic Points. Magic Points encourage productivity, management, and the completion of tasks.
Here is a list of points that you can earn:

The key to success in life is building great habits. Todo Magic aids habit forming by incorporating streaks. Simply mark a task as repeatble and the streak wil start.
Here are the points awarded for streaks:
Action | Points |
---|---|
Completing a repeatable todo after* the 1st streak | 6 |
Completing a repeatable todo after the 2nd streak | 7 |
Completing a repeatable todo after the 3rd streak | 8 |
Completing a repeatable todo after the 4th streak | 9 |
Completing a repeatable todo after the 5th+ streak | 10 |
*The first todo completion doesn't give any extra points. You'll only get extra points after having completed the 2nd streak in a series.
Generally speaking, if you delete a todo, you will lose all the points that has been allocated to it. Instead of deleting a todo, consider postponing it.
Action | Points |
---|---|
Deleting a todo | All points rewarded for completing it |
Postponing a todo before it's due date | 0 |
Postponing a todo after it's due date | - 1 |
Postponing a priority todo | -2 |
Unless otherwise noted a due date is 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 so the DAY the item is due, not the hour.
